Dr. Wilson Lopez

Medical Doctor
Dr. Wilson Lopez is originally from Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1980. He graduated as Medical Doctor with Cum Laude Probatus distinction from Universidad Autonoma de Sciences Medicas. In 1997 he returned to the United States and completed a fellowship in Clinical Immunology with a focus on HIV and tuberculosis at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lopez then completed his residency training in Family Medicine at New York Medical College in the Brooklyn-Queens area where he received an excellence award for his research on obesity. Following his residency training, he returned to Miami where he worked for Leon Medical Centers for 5 years. In 2004, together with Dr. Sonia Alejandra Sibaja, he founded Family and Pediatrics Medical Center where he currently works as a board-certified physician in Family Medicine.

Dr. Sonia Sibaja
Medical Doctor
Dr. Sonia Alejandra Sibaja obtained her medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Sciences Medicas en San Jose, Costa Rica in 1996 with Cum Laude Probatus honors. She then relocated to the United States to pursue a residency in Pediatrics. Dr. Sibaja completed her residency program at Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, New York associated to Stony Brook University in 2003. She then went on to complete a one-year fellowship in adolescent and emergency pediatric medicine. In 2004 her life brought her back to Miami, and together with Dr. Wilson Lopez, founded Family and Pediatric Medical Center. Since that time she has guided the practice and worked each day to serve the Miami community’s health needs.

Dr. Marlix Galué
Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Marlix Galué was born in Venezuela where she received her Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree
in 1994 from Universidad Central Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) in Barquisimeto,
Venezuela. In March 2002, she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the
University Hospital Antonio María Pineda in Barquisimeto before relocating to the State of
Florida. In 2015, Dr. Galué obtained her Master of Science in Nursing at Florida International
University’s Foreign-Educated Physicians Combined BSN/MSN Program in the Family Health
Nurse Practitioner Track. Dr. Galué is fully committed to providing her patients with exceptional
care by establishing one-on-one personal rapport with all her patients.

Dr. Gabriela Quintana
Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Gabriela Quintana was born in Venezuela. Her medical career started at Central University of Venezuela School of Medicine, where she enrolled as a medical student. Dr. Quintana immigrated to the United States prior to completing her medical studies in 2007. During her early years in the U.S., Dr. Quintana faced several barriers, but with hard work and determination she was able to overcome them, and she enrolled at Nova Southeastern University School of Nursing, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She started working at Jackson Memorial Hospital as a neonatal intensive care unit clinical nurse. During this time, she enrolled at Florida International University School of Business where she completed a Healthcare MBA degree. Following graduation, she was promoted to assistant nurse manager of the neonatal care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Quintana completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at her alma mater Nova Southeastern University. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida. Her doctoral dissertation is on improving healthcare processes to enhance patient care. Dr. Quintana enjoys outdoor activities and is an avid cyclist. She is known for always having a smile on her face and making her patients feel safe and valued.
